DHARAMSHALA - OVERVIEW
Surrounded by thick coniferous forestry and Dhauladhar ranges lies a picturesque town known as Dharamshala. It has two separations – lower part, having Kotwali Bazaar, government offices and other urban amenities. While the upper part renowned for vacation industry called Mcleodganj.
Dharamshala has become a prevalent sightseer destination, especially for agile trekkers and even for the aspiring ones. Having its base camp at Dharamkot (near Mcleodganj), Triund Trek is a worthy trek due to the beauty it offers on its path.
Mcleodganj is the residence of many Tibetan refugees who tracked the 14th Dalai Lama in 1959 after Tibet was controlled by China.
Owing to exiled Tibetan populaces living in Mcleodganj, many Buddhist hermitages, libraries and a few galleries have been made to preserve the Tibetan ethos.
Bhagsu Nag waterfall, Kaveri Lake and Dal lake are a few more sightseer attractions for people visiting the hill site.
Luxurious green tea farms in Palampur are another wonder to see, near Dharamshala, Especially, how the steep elevations are cut into steps and tea crop is grown on those steps.
Naddi, a quaint hamlet is a few kilometers hike from Mcleodganj. This township is for the peace searchers, away from even a speck of hustle and bustle. Public in the village belong to a unique tribe, Gaddi, majorly; Of course, with a dash of Tibetan influence.
Dharamshala is approximately 470 km from Delhi, can be reached by NH44 and NH503. The finest time to explore the place is from February to June and from September to December.

How to Reach
By Air:
Gaggal airport in Dharamshala. You can board a flight from Chandigarh or Delhi to reach Gaggal. From the exit of the airport, our cab can pick you to drive you to Dalhousie.
Other than Dharamshala’s Gaggal airport, cab boarding from Delhi, Chandigarh, and Amritsar airports are also possible.
By Train: Pathankot has the closest railway station near Dharamshala. From Pathankot’s railway station, you can reach Dharamshala city center by the hired cab.
Apart from Pathankot, we do offer pick up from Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Kalka railway stations even.
