Kunzum Pass, one of the uppermost motorable passes in India, parts Lahaul and Spiti district. This place is near a captivating lake well known as Chandratal Lake.
The lake has got its name due to its arced moon shape. This unspoiled lake lies in the Spiti region, has a campsite around 2 km from it, where trekkers nail their tents and ignite a bonfire to enjoy the unusual opportune clear sky studded with stars at night.
In opposed to other flora enriched valleys of Himachal, Lahaul and Spiti are meagerly lush. It gives a profound experience of the high elevations of the region. A different hue of Mother Nature to appreciate.
Via Air: Bhuntar airport and Shimla airport are the closest. Hired cab can come at any of the airorts to pick you. You can also embark on the taxi journey from Delhi and Chandigarh Airport.
Via Train: Chandigarh and Kalka are closest railway stations to reach Spiti. Pick up can be given from any of these railway stations. Hired cab can pick from Chandigarh, Ambala, Delhi, or Kalka railway stations too.
